  • • We do not recommend that you get services from unauthorized agencies or translation agencies in front of the door, for those who provide services for a fee.
  • • The applicants need to prove their place of residency if the provided documents (employment documents, property deeds, bank statements, student certificates, etc.) belong to cities outside our area of authority. They are required to provide a certificate of residence together with 1 utility bill of the last 6 months (electricity, water, and gas) registered on their name.

Reminders:
  • • Where applicable all supporting documents required must be up to date (no more than 3 months old).
  • • In addition to the documents listed on this website, further information or original documents may be requested by the Greek Consulate-General in Istanbul.
  • • Missing documentation may result in delay or refusal of your application in accordance with Schengen regulations.
  • • If the biometric data (VIS ) was not collected within the last 59 months as from 25.09.2014 by any of the Schengen countries you will be required to apply in person. If the application is being made by a third party(including family members), authorization letter must be notarized and submitted at the time of application being made.
  • • The application form must be signed by the applicant.
  • • Greek Consulate General, Istanbul reserves the right to re-request a new digital finger scan if the data collected previously proved unviable.
  • • If the applicants are not working and their livelihood is covered by the family members (student, child or housewife, etc.), the documents showing the financial status of the family member providing the living are added as proof to the applicant's file.
  • • Documents issued by foreign countries must be accompanied by a notarized translation in Greek or English.
  • • Visa applications will not be accepted if there is a valid Schengen visa covering travel dates.
  • • The telephone numbers indicated on the application form must belong to the applicant.
  • • Passports that are not updated due to surname change (Marriage, divorce, etc.) are not valid.

  • • Your visa application must be made to the representative offices of which your residence is affiliated. Please visit www.mfa.gr for the areas of the jurisdiction of a representative office in Turkey

Applicants under the age of 18:
  • • For each children separate application form must be filled.
  • • Children under the age of 12 are not required to come in person to Kosmos.
  • • If children over 12 years have not provided fingerprints for biometric (fingerprint), they must be accompanied by their parents or a legal guardian.
  • • Children should submit the supporting documentation of the family member whom supporting the application (e.g. parent) (Copy of the documents must be included)
  • • If the child is travelling alone or with one parent a notarized letter of consent (of the last 6 months) from either parents (or legal guardians)..
  • • If the child is travelling with either parents (or legal guardians), either parents (or legal guardians) must visit the Visa Application Centre. The child’s application form must be signed by the parents or legal guardians in the presence of a Kosmos member of staff. If either parent (or legal guardian) cannot attend, a notarized letter of consent (of the last 6 months) will be required. Child applications brought by a third party (not parent or legal guardian): letter of consent must show the name of the third party.
